The State Referee Committee (SRC) sadly announces the sudden passing of Bonnie Ahearn on December 14, 2017.  As an assignor of some of the largest tournaments in the metro DC area, Bonnie impacted the lives and promoted the advancement of referees from all over the country.  For more than forty years, Bonnie had genuinely cared for the referees and the Beautiful Game as she placed referees in matches that would challenge and develop their abilities.  Bonnie, and her husband Brian, directly affected the success of many members of the SRC as both referees and administrators.  When Bonnie was a member of the SRC, she diligently represented the assignors and was an integral part of making the Metro DC-Virginia State Referee Program one of the best in the country.
