Referee Community Mourns Loss of Young Referee
William Shields
William Collin Shields, age 16, of
Colonial Heights, Virginia, was called to the Lord on September 8, 2008, following a swimming accident. He was a junior at
Colonial Heights
High School. He was an active member of St. Martin of Tours Parish,
Fort Lee. William loved the Lord, family, friends, soccer, and helping others. William was a remarkable young man and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his parents, John (also a referee in our program) and Virginia Maceluch Shields and his brother, Nicholas Shields. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2008 in
Mt.
Pleasant
Baptist
Church, 3110 Greenwood Avenue, Colonial Heights.
