Alexandra Hallas-Button Named National Young Female Referee of the Year

Congratulations to Alexandra Hallas-Button who was recently named US Youth Soccer's National Young Female Referee of the Year.
 
Alexandra is a 17-year-old referee who upgraded to Grade 7 this year.  She has refereed for the Region 1 Semi-Finals, the ODP Region 1 Tournament, State Cup, and the WAGS and Virginian Tournaments.  At the 2004 WAGS Tournament, she was a member of the crew on the U-17 Cup Flight Finals working alongside National Referees.  She also referees for travel, recreation, and indoor leagues.   In 2004, Alexandra was an attendee at the Youth Referee Development Academy which is held each summer at the University of Richmond.  Alexandra is a 2005 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and plans to attend Northwestern University this fall to study political science.
